Chris's Migraine Story

I have not had any "formal" testing for my headache's but my doctor told me that it sounds as if it is either cluster's or mild migraines. I am a 37 yr old female that has been suffering with very nasty headaches ever since coming of anti-depressants several years ago.

They start right behind my eyes and stay for days or even weeks, yes thats right weeks. Right now at least most of the time, Excedren Migraine works for me, two and sometime three tablets will keep it at bay for 3 hrs to 4hrs or so.

I do not really have any aura's or anything I can associate as a trigger except the weather. Almost everytime the weather changes, I will start with the head pain. If it is a strong cold front or if there is a lot of rain coming the headaches will get worse. During the hurricane's we had here in Florida this past summer, I would no sooner rid myself of that pain just for it to start again. I almost always get a sign that "this is gonna be a bad one". It will start out like a normal headache but Tylenol won't touch it. Out comes the excedren. I keep several bottles of this "wonderful" pain reliever in my house and at my office at all times.

I have been lucky enough I guess to have only missed work a few times due to these "migraines".
